have their days all filled with something and live very dramatically but considering eating habits, it is thought that bodies and genes saturated in each culture have not globalized yet. In the past, furniture was newly arranged to have a space keep a sense of mobility according to the seasons and situations but now, since everything is fixed as a fireplace in a western residence, the built-in of furniture has been conducted. The modern people need to recall the previous culture which had delicately tailored one’s own space in accordance with a change. For this reason, I observed a living room culture in Korea of 2010 and determined that the place should exist as an open space as the living room of a Korean traditional house once did. By premising a remark that a living room as an open space will not be fulfilled unless a user regards the place as a recombinational space where he/she can arrange objects and assign each of them to a function as he/she pleases, I focus on conducting an experimentation to suggest alternatives for the objects in a living room as long as it is an open space.

Discussion: When components of an architecture is provided as an individual object which has not been simplified and defined, what kinds of diversity would a space construction have?

homescpae is consisted of constructions in a form of rectangular module, which are of different heights. While the rectangular constructions would not only symbolically realize an image of a city but also play a role as an object, they provide users with blanks to have him/ her give the blanks different functions in an interior space according to a situation. With the traditional floor materials and the modern product’s finishing method, a metaphor of an ordinary living space is projected and a contrastive image of crafts and the mass production is created. Through this work, while the visual and tactual effects maximize, an emotion of a different time in the same space is also conveyed.
